Arbutus
This is a hillside area with many spectacular views of downtown Vancouver and the North Shore. The main shopping area is Arbutus Centre at 29th/Arbutus but this area is bounded by MacKenzie Heights, Shaughnessy and Kerrisdale with many excellent shopping areas.

Coal Harbour
The modern, award -winning designs of the Coal Harbour buildings make this the most desirable area in town at the moment. There are 23 acres stretching from Canada Place to the Bayshore Inn. These townhouses and condos offer outstanding views of the North Shore,Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. Young, urban and middle-aged professionals are flocking to this new residential neighbourhood.

Downtown
Bordered on two ends by stretches of water - Burrard Inlet to the north and False Creek to the south. The centre core is Granville and Georgia Streets. This is a vibrant area in the hub of the city. Here people choose to live so they can work and play in the same area.

Gastown borders on the downtown Eastside. Best known for its distinctive architecture and wonderful lofts, plus fine restaurants and galleries. Most of the lofts are in the original warehouses and the highrises have a great variety of views and sizes. Chinatown is close by and has a foreign exotic feel.

This is the fastest growing area for condos and townhouses with an astonishing range of architectural styles and colours. This area was the Expo 86 site and Concord Pacific has been building a downtown living with parks, schools, community centres etc.

Kitsilano
Kitsilano, or ’Kits’, is a most desirable, vital and magic place for singles, families and seniors. There are wonderful parks, tree lined streets, super beaches, Kits Point and the museums.

Also 4th Avenue and Broadway for shopping, dining and people watching. This is a total west-coast scene; health junkies and water babies can be found on the beaches.

There is a good variety of single family homes, fabulous view and waterfront properties, townhomes, the occasional loft, low-rise frame and concrete buildings.

Upper Kits, south of Broadway, is a very popular area for young families. It is close to downtown, UBC, the airport and surrounded by private schools.

South Granville

Southwest Marine
There are many gracious estates lining Southwest Marine Drive, many designed by prominent architects with excellent examples of Tudor Revival, Spanish and Gothic styles. You can also find large lots with California style bungalows.

Bounded by Southwest Marine Drive and the Fraser River with Point Grey Golf Course on one end and McCleery Golf Course on the other end. This is a rural equestrian paradise in the middle of the city.

Shaughnessy
Canadian Pacific Railway first developed this area. First Shaughnessy stretches from West 16th Ave to West King Edward and Second Shaughnessy is from the south side of West King Edward to West 41st Avenue.

This avenues are bounded by Arbutus and Oak Streets. This area is filled with heritage landscape, curving streets, generous lots and lush manicured properties.

Stretches from Georgia Street to English Bay with Stanley Park on one side and Burrard St. On the other. Good mix of high rise and low rise condos, leasehold and co-operative owned buildings. The three major streets are Davie, Robson and Denman. Beautiful views, lovely beaches, street trees, libraries, banks, stores, plus all the necessities of life for a truly cosmopolitan population. Known for its large gay and lesbian population.
